Classical Tradition
Jeffrey Cheah is an internationally recognised classical guitarist whose performances have spanned Oceania, Asia, and the United States. His playing is distinguished by a refined tonal palette and a deeply considered approach to interpretation.
He appeared as a featured soloist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra during their 2023 season and has been a prizewinner and finalist in more than fifteen international competitions.
Jeffrey has been invited to lecture and teach at the tertiary level in Australia and internationally, sharing insights into classical guitar performance, technique, and musical interpretation.
A graduate of the Australian National University School of Music and the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Jeffrey studied with Phillip Houghton, Timothy Kain, Minh Le Hoang, and Vladimir Gorbach.
